Continuation of the Flourished ‘J’
I have inked in my ‘J’ and thickened up my hairlines. Then I scanned it in to my computer. The next step will be to vectorize it in Adobe Illustrator, but you’ll have to wait on another post to see that.

When you think of calligraphy you don’t often imagine it being appropriate for men. However I beg to differ. Here’s an example of a stationery set classically done in black, silver/gray and white. The envelope is lined in bold stripes and the finishing touch is the modern brush script lettering engraved on the card. It reminds you of a formal tuxedo. This particular set was designed by Jackie Howard at Paces paper in Atlanta, Georgia and the lettering by me, Marlean!
